Movie Prowlin: 2011 Edition, Vol. 1

This time last year I hit an astounding 60 titles. Small potatoes to this year's mark of 80 titles, which makes me super happy. AND my homework hasn't suffered too much as a result of that, so that's another rather big plus. I'm also quite glad I've done reviews for most of the flicks I wanted to do one for. Thanks to One Month Exploring Netflix Steaming (OMENS), I had the luxury of seeing 27 movies in the month of February alone. Even in March, without the luxury of Netflix, I didn't do bad, either. If I keep this up, I will definitely surpass the 200 goal by years end.

As per usual, if you want me to review something I haven't already, just let me know, and it will be up shortly.

Cheers and thanks to all the readers and visitors who stop by!

Wow you've been watchign a lot!
Is Almost Famous good?
I've been recommended it but I've never gotten around to watching it yet!

That reminds me I really need to see Nikita soon, I've been meanign to watch it but I got my hands on a dubbed version by accident, damn I hate dubbing!

You certainly review a lot, way more than I do even though I've probably got more free time than you have, I don't know why it takes me so long to write posts...

impressive, I wish I had time to watch all of these. What did you think of Buried? I was kind of interested in seeing it as a filmmaking exercise, curious if you think its worth the time.

Jack - ALMOST FAMOUS was surprisingly very good. I recommend most definitely, as it has a great young lead actor and a clever script by writer/director Cameron Crowe. NIKITA, surprisingly, was a huge bore and letdown for me. I think my dislike more has to do with the actress playing Nikita than the overall movie itself, but it just felt..."meh", I guess.

As for taking a while to write posts, don't worry about that, mate. Sometimes I have posts in the making for a good month or so before I even post 'em. Often I just need to tell myself to shut up, acknowledge I'm not writing the most brilliant review on the net and just allow myself to babble, and voilia! That's what constitutes Andy reviews, LOL.

James - BURIED was a great movie and very successful in their endeavor to set a whole 95-min. flick in one location. Reynolds is awesome, the script is funny and dramatic, and there's even a nice voice cameo or too. Definitely check it out.
