Movie Prowlin: 2010 Edition, Vol. 3

It would appear I spent the majority of my summer and so forth re-watching movies more often than I saw a brand spankin' new production. Don't fret, however, I'm slowly but surely catching up. School work and all that jazz. Yeah...

Additionally, with the exception of FURRY VENGEANCE, feel free to ask for a review on a particular title if you're curious to get my undoubtedly awesome viewpoint. As for SCOTT PILGRIM, I'm waiting for the DVD release so I can go through the film meticulously and point out how supremely awesome the movie is. It's gonna be epic, man.

I think you should see Scott Pilgrim a few more times. ;)

Election and Eternal Sunshine - first times or rewatches?

The SCOTT PILGRIM number count will only increase with the Blu-Ray release. Only reason I haven't seen it again is because of the whole lack of it being out in any theaters anymore. Kinda puts a damper.

ELECTION is a first timer, and ETERNAL SUNSHINE is a second timer, just to see if all the greatness everyone has said about it is simply lost on me or just not there. I'm guessing lost on me.

What'd ya think of Election?

How dare you - I'm one of those everyone. Eternal Sunshine is a top three flick for me. Love me some Gondry.

ELECTION was nothing like I thought it was going to be - a dumb comedy that would give me a bunch of laughs. Instead, it had a rather dark humor Coen Brothers-like. It's been awhile since I watched it, so my memory is a tad rusty, but I liked it, but I doubt it'll ever be something I think back on again. :(

With the exception of the final scene between Jim and Kate where they decide to keep their relationship going, I just don't see where all the love is. What are the primary reasons it's on your top three, sir, if I may ask?

Sorry for the big gap here, but outside events have kept me away from commenting, pretty much.

I love the inventiveness and originality in not only Kaufmann's screenplays but Gondry's direction. I love the soundtrack. I love the melancholy tone, the actors, the way the story is told. I can't think of much that I don't love about Eternal Sunshine.
